BlueBeacon Board is a general-purpose Bluetooth Low Energy proximity-beacon board. With second-generation firmware version, it simultaneously supports multiple
technologies: iBeacon, Eddystone (full support, with GATT and EID), Quuppa.
BlueBeacon Board is provided as a single board, and is suited for industrial and automation applications. It comes in two alternative antenna options:
with integrated PCB antenna (default) or with UFL connector for external antenna (optional).
It can be powered by a DC voltage ranging from 2.7V to 30V. Moreover, it can be provided with 2 expansion connectors for configurable GPIOs.
Two antenna options
Can be provided with either integrated antenna or UFL connector for external antenna
Wide supply-voltage range, compatible with automation and industrial applications
Designed for fast integration in existing electronic systems, to enable BLE functionalities
Can be configured in Central mode, for implementing low-cost beacon receiver.
8 slots configurable for non-connectable advertising frames:
- 4 slots, each configurable for Eddystone frame types: UID, URL, TLM or EID.
Full support for specifications Eddystone Configuration GATT Service by Google

iBeacon technology creates a small area of detection for Bluetooth 4.0 enabled mobile devices. BlueBeacon devices uses iBeacon licensed technology, and have been certified by BlueUp to meet
Apple Proximity Beacon Specifications
Eddystone is a protocol specification that defines BLE formats for proximity beacon advertising, with different frame types that may be used
individually or in combinations. BlueBeacon Mini is certified from Google for full support for Eddystone specifications.
The Physical Web is an open approach, developed by Google, to enable quick and seamless web-based interactions with physical objects and locations.
The Physical Web uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) because of its ubiquity on mobile devices, and is based on Eddystone-URL format.
BlueBeacon Board is compatible with Quuppa Intelligent Locating System, a powerful technology platform for novel location based services and applications. It enables real-time tracking of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
smart tags and devices, with accuracy even down to a few centimeters.
